In the solemn and penitential season of Lent we are called to more intentionally seek God. We are called to honest examination and repentance of our sins, and the renewal and strengthening of our spiritual lives both personally and within the community of the Church. Lent is a time of reflection and contemplation. Let us make a right beginning on the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday. Our Ash Wednesday services on February 26th will be held at Noon at First Presbyterian and 6:00 p.m. at St. James’. The imposition of ashes will be offered. Lenten devotional literature will be available in both the church building and in the Parish Hall. Please help yourself!
